We are a growing business that specialises in Building & Contents Restoration Services.
Our Disaster Recovery company is one of the largest in the state, and last year alone, we serviced over 800 projects.
We respond quickly to our clients when they need assistance when their property has suffered damage because of a natural disaster, property damages including fire, water, or impact damage.
The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity is available for a hardworking, enthusiastic person with restoration experience, to join our successful team as our new Assessment Manager / Estimator.
In this role, you will immerse yourself in our strong team culture and support our operational requirements in the insurance service industry.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company in a professional manner and of high standards at all times
- Adhere to and comply with OH&S guidelines, ensuring the relevant machinery, equipment and chemicals are used in a safe and correct manner for each job
- Ensure Scope and Quotes are built to high standard, and providing sufficient detail.
- Provide specific details in a report form structure of works to be completed on specific jobs.
- Manage and OWN a portfolio of jobs.
- Proactive Client Management and ensuring all stakeholders for all jobs are well supported and communicated with often.
- Maintain quality management system when supervising on-site
- Deliver induction, training, and site activities for casual staff
- Manage the performance of the crew you are supervising, including:
- Audit quality of work being undertaken
- Provide structured feedback
- Ensure works are completed to customers satisfaction and in line with calculated hours
- Identify areas for process improvement to ensure compliance with Client contracts and relevant statutory/technical requirements
- Ensure company policies and values are maintained
- Ensure daily paperwork/computer systems and tablet applications are fully completed
- Exercise full care and responsibility with all company vehicles and equipment
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the restoration industry (either management or supervisory)
Well-developed understanding and capable with the use of Restoration equipment, and techniques utilised to carry out the work:
- Certified in a minimum of two IICRC or ITI accreditations:
- Water Damage Restoration
- Carpet Cleaning
- Applied Structural Drying
- Fire and Smoke Restoration
- Applied Microbial Remediation
- Odour Control
- Trauma Scene Clean Up
- Demonstrated understanding of:
- IICRC S500 - Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration
- IICRC S520 - standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mould Remediation
- Ability to communicate complex issues verbally and in writing (through formal reports)
- Effective influencing and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be on-call for emergency work allocation (weekends & overtime)
